Here you’ll find the average hotel prices paid per night in the 10 most popular destinations in Finland by all travellers, international and domestic, in 2015 converted to Euros on the day of booking.
The total number of overnight stays in Finland by foreign tourists was down 5% in 2015. This was primarily as a result of a drop in Russian visitors, the largest inbound group, prompted by the falling Rouble.
However, other important nationalities visited in greater numbers, particularly the Swedes and the Germans, and domestic numbers rose slightly.
This change led to price falls in four destinations, including Helsinki, Kuopio, Mariehamn and Lahti, which also had the lowest average amongst the 10 destinations.
On the other hand, there were modest rises in the other six, with Oulu and Turku leading the way.
|Mariehamn||129 €||131 €||-2%|
|Rovaniemi||118 €||113 €||4%|
